End your teeth grinding
Do you grind your teeth? Do you wear a mouth guard? If so, hypnosis can be a great tool to address the root cause of the problem.
Causes of bruxism:
Doctors do not yet fully understand why bruxism happens in some individuals and not others, but it is thought that certain physical and psychological issues can act as contributing factors. For example, it is thought that the condition is more prevalent among individuals who regularly drink alcohol and caffeine and it is also thought that daily stress may be the trigger in many people. The cause will vary from person to person but there are certain factors which are thought to increase an individual’s risk of developing the problem which may including the following:
- changes in sleep patterns
- Huntington’s disease or Parkinson’s disease
- increased anxiety, stress, anger and frustration
- psychiatric medicines such as antidepressants
Your body knows how to relax your jaw just like it relaxes the rest of your body while at rest; however, for some reason your mind does not relax this part of your body and your teeth take the abuse.
SOLVE THE PROBLEM: By using hypnosis, your mind can be guided and taught to release the tension, within the jaw, which is causing the adverse grinding reaction. You can solve the problem rather than managing the problem with a mouth guard or other medical devices.
How many sessions does it take?
I can’t say how long it would take to resolve your teeth grinding issue. The number of session is different for different people. It is not uncommon to solve the issue in under six sessions; however, more may be required.
